Today's guest is Lucas Richman. Lucas is a GRAMMY award-winning conductor/composer. Lucas talks with Joseph about his early days, what inspired him and how he learned to be a storyteller with his conducting and composing. With positions held as Music Director for the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra and Resident/Assistant conductor for the Pittsburg Symphony, Lucas has appeared as guest conductor with numerous orchestras including the New York Philharmonic, Philadelphia Orchestra, Boston Pops, Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Oslo Philharmonic, and the Iceland Symphony Orchestra. Richman’s numerous collaborations with film composers as their conductor has yielded recorded scores for such films as the Academy Award-nominated The Village (with violinist, Hilary Hahn), As Good As It Gets, Face/Off, Se7en, Breakdown, The Manchurian Candidate, Kit Kittredge: An American Girl and The House with a Clock in its Walls; in 2010, John Williams invited him to lead the three-month national summer tour of Star Wars in Concert.
